A surprising amount of interesting but overlooked data on North Korea sits in Japan. It has stayed hard to reach, partly because it is in Japanese, but also because it is scattered across archives, official records, and community sources that were never gathered in one place or built for search. We are bringing this material together into one open, searchable database, so North Korea can be studied from angles that were not possible before.
